Our Mission:

The Itasca Parent Teacher Organization (IPTO) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) parent teacher organization whose mission is to enhance and support the educational experience at the schools in Itasca, Illinois, School District 10. The goal of the IPTO is to develop a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parent and teacher involvement, to improve the environment at these schools through volunteer and financial support, and to serve as liaison between the district administration and the parent community.

Meet the Board

Adrianne Poulakidas, President

Adrianne Poulakidas has lived in Itasca throughout her childhood and now has returned to raise her family. This is her 5th year on the IPTO board and first year as President. She currently has a 1st grader, 4th grader and 6th grader in Itasca schools, and is looking forward to a fun and exciting year!
What is your favorite hobby? Reading
What is your favorite thing about the IPTO? Seeing all the smiles of the students and teachers.
Tell us a joke? Two pickles fell out of a jar onto the floor. What did one say to the other? Dill with it.

Bree Grimaldi, Vice President –Benson

Bree and her husband Dominic have 2 daughters in the district. This is her 2nd year on the board. She grew up in Itasca and attended D10 schools and absolutely loves having her kids share in the same experience as she did!
What's your favorite hobby: Golfing 🏌️‍♀️ (when I can)
What's your Favorite thing about the IPTO: Being involved in my kids schooling and getting to know the families in town
Tell us a Joke: Why do you bring extra socks when you go golfing? In case you get a hole in one! ⛳️ 😂

Paula Parisi, Vice President - Franzen

This is Paula’s 3rd year on the IPTO. She currently has 2 boys in the district . One at Peacock and one at Franzen. She's is so excited for a better year and being involved!

What is your favorite hobby? Music, reading, dancing, hanging with friends and family.
What is your favorite thing about the IPTO? Seeing the students happy 😃
Tell us a joke? What’s the difference between an alligator and crocodile? One you won’t see til later, the other you won’t see for a while!! 🤣

Melissa Christensen, Vice President – Peacock

This is my second year on the board. I'm looking forward to some normalcy and a fun year for my last one! I currently have an 8th grader at Peacock.
My favorite hobby is dancing and spending time with family and friends!
What I love about the IPTO: Bringing families together and seeing all the smiles on parents, teachers and kids!
I'll tell you my favorite joke: Three tomatoes are walkin' down the street. Papa Tomato, Mama Tomato and Baby Tomato. Baby Tomato starts lagging behind, and Papa Tomato gets really angry. Goes back and squishes him and says: "Ketchup.

Monica Jacklow, Treasurer

Monica is the Treasurer and is on her 3rd year on the board. She & her husband Jason have 3 kids in D10. Monica is also a lifelong Itasca resident.
What's your favorite hobby? Reading, board games, music & spending time with family & friends.
What's your favorite thing about the IPTO? I love seeing all the smiling kids & being able to work with the amazing D10 teachers & staff.
Tell us a joke? How do you make a Kleenex dance? Put a little boogie in it!

 Marcie Stephan, Co-Secretary

This is Marcie's 1st year on the IPTO board but has helped with the Community Outreach Committee for the past 2 years. She moved to Itasca in 2017 so her kids could attend the D10 schools. She currently has 3 girls in the district. One at Franzen and two at Benson.
What is your Favorite hobby: hanging out with Family and Friends and baking
What is your favorite thing about the IPTO: Bringing families together for fun events!
Tell us a joke: I am not good at telling jokes and this is my go to....What do you call a sick pony? A little horse.
